J0 - BAMAKO

Bamako : Welcome at Bamako airport. Transfer and night at the hotel.

  • Bamako is the lively capital of Mali. It doesn't have major sights like Djenne or Mopti but it is a very pleasant city, with good markets, friendly people and a laid back atmosphere. Worth a couple of days. The museum is well worth a visit, with a nice collection of masks, terracottas and an excellent collection of textiles

J1 - BAMAKO - SEGOU - EXCURSION IN PINASSE - KALABOUGOU

Bamako : Breakfast and departure for Ségou.
Ségou : Lunch. Départure for Kalabougou on the Niger in a pinnasse.

  • Kalabougou : A beautiful excursion in pinasse on the Niger stream. Visit of the potter village wher you'll see differents stages of the traditional pottery manufacture etc.….

  • Segou is mostly famous form the book by Maryse Conde. It still is the main city of the Bambara tribe and it's located near the remains of Mbella, the ancient Bambara capital. Segou is a nice place to stop and catch your breath after the dust and congestion of Bamako: It's a calm tree-lined city with more than its share of friendly people. Monday is market day is a good day to people watch and the best time to find the bright hand-woven fabrics for which Segou is famous.

J2 - SEGOU - SAN - DJENNE

Ségou : Breakfast and departure for Djenné via San.
San : Visite de la grande mosquée and the market.
Lunch and departure for Djenné.

J3 - DJENNE - MOPTI - PAYS DOGON : Bégnémato * - IRELI

Djenné : Breafast and visit of Djenné. Lunche and departure for Mopti and the Dogon Country.

Mopti : Dinner and Night at the hotel.

  • Country dogon: an unforgettable experience. The country spreads on a cliff of about 200 kms. This region is classified to the worldwide heritage of the Unesco. It is one of the most ancient civilizations of Africa, the more mysterious and most fascinating as. Every house, every recess of land, every village possesses an history that summarizes them marvellously "ginna", these "houses of the patriarch" with the sculpted doors. We will visit some villages that will open you their hearts !. The architecture of houses, of attics to thousand (round or square), of togunas to the thick roofing where cram stems of thousand, as well as underground cave of tellemses serving today of burial places, the dance of masks, the crowd of markets that repeats baffled himself of a village to the other every five day, composes strong pictures.


J4 - MOPTI – BEGNEMATO

Mopti : Breakfast. Visit of the venise malian.
Lunch. Departure for Bégnémato.

Bégnémato : Dinner and night at the camp on the terrace under the stars.

 
J5BEGNEMATO - NOMBORI - TIRELI - DAGA

Bégnémato : Breakfast. Visits : visits the tunnel Bongo, the table of divination to know his future, the women's house in menstruation, the dogon's house (spiritual leader of Dogon country) etc...

Walking to Tireli via Nombori. Visits of villages.

Tireli : Dinner and night at the camp on the terrace under the stars.


J6 – TIRELI - SANGHA*

Tireli : Breakfast. Visit of the village. Departure for Sangha.
Daga : Lunch and visits.

Sangha : Dinner and night at the camp on the terrace under the stars.

  • With its thirteen villages, Sangha constitutes the point of departure of all excursions to the Dogon country. It's to Sangha that the cliff is most astonishing. There are magnificent villages of which Bananis and its 4 districts, Ireli, Tireli where troglodyteses are most impressive. There are some sacred crocodiles in the village of Amani…

J7 – SANGHA* - SEGOU

Sangha : Breakfast. Departure for Ségou via Sévaré.
Ségou : Dinner and Night at the hotel.


J8 – SEGOU - BAMAKO

Ségou : Breakfast. Departure for Bamako.
Bamako : Lunch. Visits.
Transfert to airport.
End of the travel.

  Remarks : All circuit made the object of a meticulous preparation, according to means of locomotions kept, the nature of lodgings (hotel, camps, bivouacs), visits, etc...   • The adapted terrestrial and fluvial transports (car, 4X4, bus, ...)
  • Meals (small lunch, to eat lunch and to dine), in hotel, camp or bivouac.
  • Nights in hotel, camp or bivouac.
  • All rights of entrance, possible visit expense in villages.
  • All local tourist taxes and expenses of portage.
  • According to the demand, the transfers airport (arrival and departure) of Bamako or in another place.

  Benefits don't include tickets of plane in Mali (we can do your bookings if you wish it), visas of entrance, the insurance, the personal expenses, meals no specified, drinks, gratuities.
